The Green Bike Project was made possible through partner and employer contributions.
Partners
REI – Corporate & Group Sales providing 200 specially branded, fully outfitted Novara Transfer commuter bicycles and select REI retail locations providing tune-ups for 100 existing bikes
Cascade Bicycle Club - providing bicycle commute safety training, an online commute calendar and coordination of the launch event
King County - providing project management and a 50/50 match to participating employers who choose to give participants an incentive
The Commute Trip Reduction affected cities within King County for providing access to employers
Washington State Department of Transportation - providing funding through TRPP funds

Participating employers are providing:
- secure bicycle parking for all bicycle commuters
- access to showers, clothes lockers or closets for all bicycle commuters
- an Employee Transportation Coordinator (ETC) or Bike Mentor to help manage the project and act as a liaison between GBP participants and King County
- an investment in bicycle gear or incentives to all bicycle commuters.
